This event is designed to educate school aged children about horses and provides visitors with the opportunity to experience horses up close and personal. Upon arrival each group will be supplied information on all the stations to visit. Stations will include education material, (Feed, Equipment, First Aid, Breeds etc.), guest speakers, exhibits, demonstrators and activities.

Refreshments & Snacks for purchase.

What teachers need to know! Pre-Registration and Payment due upon arrival. 1 Adult to every 6-8 children Please eat lunch after or before attending the program no lunch time hour provided at Lazee G Ranch due to the numbers of people attending and the buses coming in and out. Dress for the weather, sun hat and No open toe shoes. “Optional” Extra money for purchasing extra snacks. All bookings are accompanied with a confirmation number and Registration form that must be brought on the day of program. The programs stresses the "hands on" approach and is overflowing with valuable educational material and is designed to enhance the knowledgeable students awareness as well as introduce inexperienced students to various facets of their natural environment.

ANIMAL TIME

Grade: JK - 3 Half Day (Morn. or After.) 11/2 hrs - 2 hours long

We will examine the differences and similarities between humans, plant, and animal and how humans depend on plants and animals. Students will observe movements and behavior in animals. They can investigate their sense of smell, touch, sight, and hearing. Visit with horses, ponies, chickens, turkeys, rabbits, goats, sheep, ducks, cow and a pig and more. Popsicle snack included! Take home a coloring page too!

ANIMAL DETECTIVE

Grade: 4 - 6 Time:10:00am. - 2:00pm. Bring a bag lunch!

Learn to become an animal detective! Enjoy a hayride, tour the facility, visit the education centers before the games begin. Call for more details! Popsicle snack included!

Grade: 7 - 8 Time:10:00am. - 2:00pm. Bring a bag lunch!

Outdoor education! Our games are often called the thinking sport; it fosters self-confidence, problem solving, and team building, in addition to a great workout! The activities are intended to help students appreciate their environment, and learn more about their surroundings. We will also enjoy a hayride, tour of the facility, visit the education centers before the games begin. Popsicle snack included!

WHAT TEACHERS NEED TO KNOW

Children should prepare for hot & cool weather

Name tags for everyone makes the day go smoother

For every 30 students we allow 6 Free Participating volunteers, (Teachers Included) we must charge for any additional adults. (Do not encourage siblings)

Over the past several years we have had the opportunity to work with hundreds of classes and would like that opportunity again.
